Milton Keynes (MK) Hosts Launch of 'March for Men' to Promote Prostate Cancer Testing
Saturday, 21st June 2025
🕙 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Registration from 8:30 AM)
📍 Start: Old Bus Station (opposite Milton Keynes Train Station)
📍 End: Christ the Cornerstone Church (opposite Marks & Spencer)
To close Men’s Health Week and respond to the urgent need for greater prostate cancer awareness, a coalition of health and advocacy organisations is launching a powerful new campaig in MK
This national initiative kicks off in Milton Keynes, aiming to spark open conversations, raise public awareness and encourage early testing for prostate cancer—the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men across the UK.
📊 The facts are sobering:
Over 52,000 new cases each year — that’s 143 men diagnosed daily
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime
1 in 4 Black men, the risk increases to half,
yet no national screening programme currently exists in the UK
To help close this critical gap, Stemax Consult Healthcare Service, Cancer UK-Salone, Prostate Cancer UK and Linked Events Ltd have come together to launch this initiative.
🎯 Key Goals:
Raise awareness of prostate cancer and its disproportionate impact on Black men
Encourage open dialogue among men, families, and communities
Provide over 200 free PSA tests on the day
Advocate for a national screening programme
Join us in stepping up for men’s health. Every step counts. Every test matters.
